The Art of Flintknapping involves the production of many types of stone tools above and beyond projectile points.   Dr. "Arizona" Gleason, in her exploration of this ancient craft, has thus attempted to master the production of other usable tools.   This production includes various types of Bone and Shell Tools as well as various Fiber and Textile Replicas.   All these tools and other artifact replicas are excellent for either educational display or actual experimental use.   This allows for the most effective form of hands-on teaching without endangering priceless artifacts.   Those which Dr. "Arizona" has mastered the regular production of are available for purchase on the linked pages.   Use our  Special Request Order Form  (PDF, 57KB)   to ask for a quote from Dr. "Arizona" in terms of replicating a specific artifact not currently offered here.   Visit our  Online Store  to puchase specific one-of-a-kind replicas that Dr. "Arizona" has made.

Composite Stone Tools

COMPOSITE STONE TOOLS

These items are replications of actual complete artifacts for use in the classroom, at guest lectures or for museum exhibits.   They are tools that are constructed of multiple parts, for instance multiple lithic blades.   Some are simply hafted versions of stone tools available elsewhere on this website, like a Hafted Scraper.   In such a way, these tools are specifically designed to be put to use in their traditional manner or, alternatively, can be requested to be previously used for comparative analysis purposes or display.   Order fulfillment may take a few weeks.
